Nordanö acted as financial adviser to DSB Ejendomsudvikling on the establishment of a joint venture between DSB Ejendomme, Industriens Pension, Novo Holdings and NREP, for the development Jernbanebyen.

Jernbanebyen constitutes the largest and most prominent urban development opportunity in Copenhagen and will tie Vesterbro, Sydhavnen and the Inner City together and constitute an entire new city district in its own right.

The development of Jernbanebyen will be initiated in 2024 with expected completion in 2036 and will then comprise more than 365,000 m2 and will be the new home to more than 7.000 residents and companies generating more than 5.000 jobs. The vision for Jernbanebyen is to develop a diverse and inclusive city district with strong communities, supporting active and healthy lifestyles with large green areas and a broad spectrum of housing types including, student housing, social housing as well as rental and owner-occupier units.
